High Commissioner of India to Sierra Leone
Baisnab Charan Pradhan graduated with Honors in Physics from Utkal University in 1986. He joined the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi in 1991. He has handled several interesting and challenging assignments at the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi and in Indian diplomatic missions in Tajikistan, France, Kyrgyzstan, the United Kingdom, Nepal and Brazil. He has served as Charge d’ Affaires, Embassy of India, Bishkek, Acting Consul General of India, Birmingham, Consul General of India, Birgunj and the Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Brasilia. He has gained valuable experiences in implementing many of India´s developmental projects in Kyrgyzstan and Nepal. He speaks Odia, English and Hindi and has knowledge of Russian, French and Bengali. He is married to Anita in 1993, and they have three children- two daughters and one son.
